Friday Favorites - Happy Labor Day!

She says...

Happy Friday, y'all! Hopefully you will be enjoying a long weekend with your peeps. We are going to spend some time with our family as well.

I have found some really good favorites for you. I am so excited about fall and have been noticing lots of the new things with the change of season. Here's what I have found:

I was in Kohl's last week and spotted this leopard print kimono. Animal prints are really popular again this year. Plus, these kimonos are so easy to throw on and go! It's on sale this weekend, too.

I purchased this magnolia mini wreath at my local Kirkland's yesterday. I plan to hang it on top of the mirror in our dining room. I am loving the white pumpkins, pinecones and magnolia leaves!
(Kirkland's is having a major sale over Labor Day weekend.)

I spotted these mustard cloth napkins with white stitching while I was browsing at Kirkland's. If you love to dress up your table for fall, these are a great find. They are only $4 each and really well made.

I love to dress up my front door with the change of seasons. I found this Hello Pumpkin doormat on sale for $11.99 at Michael's. So cute for fall!

Fall to me also means a new wardrobe.....which usually involves some form of camouflage! Let me say, I can't wait! Keeping with a hunting theme, I picked up this BOG Deathgrip Shooting Tripod a couple weeks ago.
I bought it with the intent of allowing my 8 year old nephew the opportunity to hopefully get a shot on a hog with a high powered rifle. The tripod worked great! Unfortunately, the hogs must have known it was a deadly combination because they didn't show up! We still managed some target practice with it and I was very impressed. It has adjustable leg height and angle. The grip securely locks your weapon into place. The grip has a pivot base allowing you to set the tension on left/right and up/down movement...or, just simply lock in on a target. It comes in aluminum for about $150. They do have a carbon fiber version which is somewhat lighter. But, the price tag comes in a little heavier at $250. The tripod is on the heavy side, weighing 8.5 lbs. To that point, this is what allows an 8 year old to to get away with safely firing a centerfire rifle.

A great companion to the shooting tripod is this Sig Sauer KILO1000 laser rangefinder. This handheld 5x monocular allows you to range targets out to 1000 yards while the tripod allows you to hold steady on your point of aim. As you know, I am a big fan of good glass when it comes to hunting/sporting optics. This Sig will not let you down in that department. Throw in their unlimited lifetime warranty they dub as the "Infinite Guarantee," you can't go wrong! Sig Sauer will stand behind all of their products; no warranty card, no receipt, no time limits. That is a sign of somebody standing behind their products! The laser rangefinder aspect is spot-on accurate and provides instant readings with the push of a button. Holding the button allows updates at a rate of 4x's per, you can always be assured of the correct distance.

Good luck to all of you getting ready for the upcoming hunting seasons...and to those that have seasons which have already started, hope you have had much success!
