Our kids are growing up and sometimes its hard to coordinate schedules to get everyone together for a long trip so this one was just perfect for our changing family.
We stayed at the Hotel Intercontinental because it met all of our must-haves. It had to have a pool, be pet friendly and close to the places we wanted to go. The hotel exceeded our expectations.
These are some pictures outside our hotel where we were able to walk Spot around under the big, beautiful oak trees. In the evenings the lights would make the courtyard feel so festive.
There was so much to see and do, and we made the most of our time. We decided to explore the French Quarter, Magazine Street, visit the World War II museum and try some new restaurants.
These pictures were taken while exploring Magazine Street. It was several miles of artsy and unique shops that made for a great after breakfast stroll.
Another place we visited was the World War II Museum; it was so well done. Even if you are not a history buff, this is a must see place. But, leave yourself plenty of time to visit as there is an entire decade of history to experience.
Next time I will post part two of our trip with pictures of the delicious food we ate. Come back soon!
OH, I love Nawlins. Have enjoyed several really fabulous trips there. But haven't been back since the hurricane hit. Looks like you kids had a blast. It is the kind of place you can just cut loose and have fun.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a fun place to explore. We have been many times and still find new places to visit. Have a good weekend! :)
